Streusel Cinnamon Baked Donut

Streusel Cinnamon Baked Donut

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of flour
  • ⅓ cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • ¼ cup of powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons of milk

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease the donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the liquids: milk, egg, butter, yogurt, and vanilla. Incorporate the liquids into the dry ingredients. Mix it well and pour the mixture into the donut pan. About two tablespoons of dough will be added to each donut.
  4. Meanwhile, mix the streusel ingredients to create a coarse sand texture. Sprinkle each of the donuts with it and bake them for 10-12 minutes until they are cooked when a toothpick is inserted.
  5. Let it cool down for 3-5 minutes before removing them from the pan. You can bake the rest of the dough in the cool-down pan.
  6. Mix the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of milk for the glaze. Check if the consistency is all right. Otherwise, add more milk. Drizzle the cool-down donuts and let the glaze dry before serving.
