RECYCLING MADE EASY WITH RECYCLESMART

We’re teaming-up with RecycleSmart, an Australian owned and operated company that collects hard-to-recycle things from your doorstep (via Power Pickups) and connects them with their recycling partners.

Their Power Pickup service currently operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and more.

WHAT COOKWARE CAN BE RECYCLED?

RecycleSmart accepts pots and pans, bakeware and small domestic appliances that are made from iron, steel, aluminium, copper, and non-stick surfaces.

Just bear in mind that the free Power Pickup only covers items that can fit into 2 regular shopping bags.*

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR OLD COOKWARE?

Your cookware will be carefully transported to a state-of-the-art recovery facility where it's weighed, inspected, and sorted for maximum recycling.

Each material is then recovered. For example, steel & iron are transformed into reo bars—reinforced steel wires used to strengthen cement in construction.

FAQ

*What if my cookware doesn’t fit in the bags?

One Power Pickup costs $15 and includes up to 2 regular shopping bags that is roughly 30-35L or 40x40x20cm. Any additional bag is $7.50 while big items start at $10. Refer to RecycleSmart website for more information.

 

Can I put cutlery in the bags?

Sure! But please wrap knifes in cardboard/tape for safety.

 

Can I recycle more than one item?

Yes! When booking a Power Pickup, you can put all the cookware you can fit in 2 regular shopping bags and RecycleSmart will recycle it. Additional bags or oversized items that do not fit in bags will result in extra charges.

 

What bag can I use?

You can use an old plastic shopping bag (roughly 30-35L or 40x40x20cm). If you’ve got reusable shopping bags, even better! You can also purchase bags from RecycleSmart.
