Tart Cranberry Sorbet

This bright, tart and refreshing sorbet is just the thing to wrap up a heavy meal or to help cool you down on a hot day.

Tart Cranberry Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 24 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur (optional)

Preparation Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, cook the honey, water, and cranberries for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have softened.
  2. Transfer the cranberries to the carafe of a blender along with the orange and lemon juices, salt, and orange liqueur, if using, and blend on high until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and cool to room temperature.
  3. Pour the mixture into the GreenPan Frost mixing bowl and cover with the mixing bowl cover.
  4. Select the Sorbet mode, L1. Churn until it turns to Cool and beeps.
  5. Serve immediately or extrude into an airtight container and freeze.

Tips

The orange liqueur will give you a slightly smoother consistency.
